From CFD-Wiki
This page describes the most important CFD-Wiki policies.

Content policies
All contribtions should adhere to the following policies:
- Neutral point of view
- All articles should be written in a neutral point of view without bias, representing different views fairly. CFD-Wiki is not the place to promote or advocate different opinions or interests. Neither is it the place to promote yourself, a certain product, code or company. Be very restrictive when writing about yourself, your company, your products or your own research results. This principle is especially important when writing about commercial products. We don't want CFD-Wiki filled with commercial advertising!
- No original research
- Do not publish original research in CFD-Wiki. All material must be established views or facts that are generally accepted in the research community. New research results should first have been published in peer-reviewed journals and conferences before being added to CFD-Wiki.
- Verifiability
- Information in CFD-Wiki should be verifiable. Whenever possible include links or references to where the information can be verified. Preferably the information should already have been published by a reputable publisher. Note that information does not necessarily have to be the one single truth, confliciting opinions might exist. See CFD-Wiki:Format_and_style_guide#References for more information about how to include references and external sources.
- No copyright violations
- All material added to CFD-Wiki must follow the CFD-Wiki copyrights. Please make sure that all content you add is free from any conflicting copyrights. Do not add material to which others own the copyrights without their explicit approval to release their material under a GNU Free Documentation License and include it in CFD-Wiki. We take copyrights seriously and will delete any material that is found to break someones copyrights.
Policy enforcement
All users of CFD-Wiki have the right and should help with enforcing our policies. Anyone who sees content which is not following our policies can easily correct or change the content himself. Don't be too afraid to change what someone else wrote if you think that it is inappropriate, is bad for the quality of the article, or breaks our policies. CFD-Wiki is our collective work created by many volunteers. We should not accept that others use CFD-Wiki for things like advertising, personal promotion etc. When you make significant changes or delete someones content then please also write a short comment about it in the "Summary" field of the edit page of the article. Avoid to get into a repeated change-and-change-back conflict though. If your corrections are not accepted by the original author then see the section below on conflict resolution. If you are hesitant if something you see is acceptable or should be changed or removed you are also very welcome to bring it up for discussion on the CFD-Wiki forum.
Users who don't accept our policies or collective agreements can be banned by an administrator. Administrators also have the possibility to protect especially sensitive content if we find that necessary.
Conflict resolution
First try to resolve the conflict yourself via dicussions on the talk pages and via email. If that does not work out bring up the issue on the CFD-Wiki forum. The forum is monitored by many senior CFD-Wiki contributors and administrators. We should be able to reach a collective aggreement on how to resolve the conflict there. If everything else fails and no agreement can be reached, the Wiki bureaucrat has the final decision.
