We are seeking a candidate with experience in research focused on the numerical approximation of fluid dynamics problems. The role will prioritize the development of numerical techniques aimed at reducing complexity, including methods such as POD-Reduced Basis and Machine Learning. Research will involve high-level programming languages (C/C++/Python) and open-source libraries for scientific computing and machine learning (e.g., OpenFOAM, numpy, scipy, pyTorch, pandas). The work will focus on numerical simulations of urban air pollution diffusion for environmental flows in both urban and natural settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, excellent social skills, and the ability to handle engineering and mathematical projects independently and in a team setting. A PhD is not required for this position, though candidates interested in pursuing a PhD are particularly encouraged to apply.
