Two Postdoc positions are available immediately in the Computational and Theoretical Multiphysics Lab 
( in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the 
Florida State University. One position is related to computational/theoretical activities and the other 
position is mostly experimental. Both positions are related to fluid-structure interaction (FSI) in turbulent 

The following skills/certifications/interests are relevant to the positions:

Creativity and interest in interdisciplinary research;
A PhD degree in engineering (especially mechanical, aero, or civil) or related fields (applied mathematics, 
computational physics);
Previous research experience in either computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or flow experiments. Desirable 
research skills include FSI, turbulence, and data-driven techniques;
Strong oral and written communication skills with a track record of publications.

This is a one-year appointment, with a possibility of renewal depending on the performance. To apply,
