The division of Numerical Fluid Dynamics at TU Berlin has an open PhD 
position to conduct numerical investigations into the fundamental properties of 
wall-bounded turbulent flows. 

Tasks
- Contribution to teaching, including the delivery of tutorials and practical 
classes and the supervision final theses
- Research in the field of numerical fluid dynamics, with a particular focus on 
the investigation of turbulent boundary layers
- Conducting numerical simulations and experimental work, developing simulation 
programs
- Preparation of applications for third-party funding and scientific 
publications

Requirements
- Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or 
equivalent) preferably in Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace 
Engineering or Scientific Computing
- Very good knowledge of one or several of the following areas: applied 
mathematics, fluid mechanics or numerical methods
- Proficiency in programming
- The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to 
acquire the missing language skills.

Desirable (optional):
- Experience in programming in Fortran or C/C++
- Basic knowledge of parallel computing
