Eligibility & Admission Procedure

Eligibility & Selection Criteria 

The candidate should possess at least 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalents 
grade in master’s degree level. The admission is based on a written entrance 
examination (4 times a year, Jan, April, Aug and Nov.) followed by an interview.

Applicants who have qualified national wide examinations, UGC-NET (including 
JRF)/joint UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ICAR (ASRB)-NET/ICMR JRF/DBT-JRF/NBHM 
are exempted from entrance examination and will appear directly to the 
discussion meeting for PhD enrolment. The national fellowship holders and 
potential DBT INSPIRE applicants are welcome to contact the faculties of their 
research interest.

University Fellowship
Selected PhD students will receive a fellowship of Rs. 36000/- per month. The 
University will also financially support participation in national/international 
conferences.

Hostel & accommodation

Students will be provided boarding and accommodation at a highly subsidised 
rate.

Fees

One-time registration fee: INR 10,000/-
Tuition fee: INR 40,000 per annum [completely waived as part of the scholarship]
Thesis evaluation fee: INR 10,000/ [at the time of thesis submission]
