Job Responsibilities for Combustion:
1.Deliver on combustion modeling projects using computational fluid dynamic
based formulations. Execute the project from preparation of geometry to
simulation to post processing and preparation of report.
2.State of the art commercial tools like Ansys-FLUENT, STAR-CCM+ are to be used
for the project delivery. Prior exposure and experience in handling these tools
is assumed. Limited on project training will be provided as well.
3.Developing a strategy for combustion model and addition of complexity in a
stage wise manner is the key. Interpretation of results for combustion system
and analyzing the data is equally important. The engineer needs to take special
effort need in that direction.
4.The project success needs to be ensured by delivering quality output in a
timely manner. Ability to put long hours as and when needed is expected to
ensure project success.
5.Combustion simulations need high end compute resource as well as many large
parallel license keys. The engineer needs to ensure correctness of the
simulation so that there is no negative impact on the project delivery in terms
of exceeding the delivery time lines or crossing planned hardware & software
resources.
6.Work with other team members who may contribute in terms of geometry or mesh
preparation in time crunch modes as required. Guiding them with clear set of
instructions is required as part of team effort.
7.Track and manage the progress on project in terms of deliverables and provide
regular updates to the team manager.
8.Take overall responsibility for customer engagement for project delivery.
Attend all project meetings with the customer to ensure smoother delivery along
with customer success.
9.Consulting business is cyclic and it important to keep that in mind. The
engineer needs to be open to work on non-combustion project as per the company
requirements.
10.Develop best practices for combustion simulations in terms of overall
approach, meshing practices, choice of turbulence model, better initialization,
schemes to be used, convergence strategies, etc.
11.Focus on advanced models such as LES, use of actual species with multiple
levels of reactions, etc. Keep track of all new aspects and development plans
for commonly used commercial tools.
12.Understand the integration with other tools, lower order models, etc. This
will help to develop faster models and generate quick understanding of the
system.
Key Competencies for Combustion:
• Ability to define and solve CFD problem in combustion space.
• Technically sound in heat transfer, mass transfer and reactions
• Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills
• Ability to interpret, present and defend the results with a customer
• Professional, self-motivated and Accountable
Job Responsibilities for Multiphase:
1.Planning and execution of projects in an efficient manner – this involves
coordination between US sales & and technical teams, Clients, and India-based
resources and using these resources very effectively to execute projects.
2.Technical understanding of industrial problems, analysis of available data,
collecting required information for designing a solution strategy
3.Design solution strategy, develop project execution plans, manage resources
and time
4.Implement solution strategies at various stages like define, run/solve,
analyze, and document. Provide practical suggestions, implementations, and
customer follow-up and ensure timely delivery
5.Set up and manage CFD simulations and analysis of problems in a wide range of
industrial sectors.
6.Generate newer ideas, communicate effectively, and relationship development
with the end customer
Key Competencies for Multiphase:
•Problem Problem-solving skills in CFD analysis mainly multiphase, particulate,
mixing, and thermal flows.
•Excellent command over Multiphase flow physics, and numeric, modeling
strategies specifically using ANSYS FLUENT/STARCCM+
•Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills
•Multi-tasking and ability to work in teams is essential
•Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment; a strong desire to learn
as well as teach and guide
•Should have the drive to gain advancement in CFD skills as well as in
technological fronts
Education:
Master’s (with three to eight years of experience) or PhD (with four year of
experience) from Chemical/Mechanical or Aerospace engineering discipline from
reputed Institute.
