Ph.D. Studentship at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Description: A Ph.D. studentship is available in the Department of Mechanical 
and Aerospace Engineering at the College of Engineering, United Arab Emirates 
University.The candidate should have the ability to conduct innovation and have 
writing skills. The position may be from a research project funded by the 
university research office. In addition, the College of Graduate Studies

Ph.D. candidate may be supported by the UAE University for 4 years with a

Ph.D Research Area:
•	Turbomachinery, particularly gas turbine cooling
•	Desalination, particularly thermal and interfacial desalination
•	Renewable energy, particularly solar and wind energy. 
•	Hydrogen, particularly generation, storage, or applications 
•	CFD, particularly ventilation and thermal comfort
The minimum requirements:
•	An MSc degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4 and a BSc degree with a 
minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4. 
•	A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.

The preferred requirements:
•	Good experience in CAD software
•	Experimental or numerical experience in gas turbine, gas turbine 
cooling, CFD,  desalination, or wind turbine. 
•	Good publications record. 
•	GRE above 290
•	GPA for B.Sc. and M.Sc. is above 3.5
