Excellence for Electronic Cooling and CFD Sim Lab.

Job Posting: CFD Engineer with Ansys Icepak, Ansys Fluent, Ansys CFD Post, Ansys 
SpaceClaim, Ansys DesignModeler, Ansys Maxwell, HFSS, SIwave, Ansys Twin Builder 
specialization or experience.

Minimum Qualifications: M. Tech/M.E/MS in Thermal or Mechanical or Aerospace or 
Electronics or Electrical or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or 
Instrumentation or Chemical or Nuclear Engineering with CFD specialization 
and/or significant exposure to CFD tools and Heat Transfer. Exposure to Ansys 
Icepak, Ansys Fluent, Ansys CFD Post, Ansys SpaceClaim, Ansys DesignModeler, 
Ansys Maxwell, HFSS, SIwave, Ansys Twin Builder at the basic level with good 
understanding of meshing principles.

Preferred Qualifications: MTech/ME/MS in Thermal or Mechanical or Aerospace or 
Electronics or Electrical or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or 
Instrumentation or Chemical or Nuclear Engineering with CFD specialization 
and/or significant exposure to CFD tools pertinent to Electronic Cooling and 
Heat Transfer. Exposure to Ansys Icepak, Ansys Fluent, Ansys CFD Post, Ansys 
SpaceClaim, Ansys DesignModeler, Ansys Maxwell, HFSS, SIwave, Ansys Twin Builder 
at the advanced level with excellent understanding of meshing principles.

General Requirement: Experience Level 0 + years of experience in heat transfer, 
CFD and thermal management of electronics. Potential candidate is expected to 
work in a team and hence requires organization skills and people’s skills to 
work in a dynamic environment. Candidate should be willing to supervise lab 
projects for students who work on industry related Capstone project taught by 
industry expert from California. Basic knowledge of commercial tools such as 
Icepak, Flotherm, Fluent, Ansys Workbench. Experience in Thermal-Electric 
simulation using ANSYS is a plus. Strong understanding of first principles 
physics related to thermal performance of components in data centers. 
Fundamental understanding of air cooling, liquid cooling, immersion cooling and 
advanced heat removal methods and techniques related to component level, system 
level and data center cooling. Willingness/ability to travel 10% both 
domestically and internationally. Process focused with good communication 
skills. This position will directly report to the Head of the Center of CFD and 
Electronic Cooling Prof. Dr. B. K. Gnanavel. The candidate should also be 
willing to take instructions and directions from international advisor and lab 
founder who teaches the Capstone program.
