A PhD student position is available at the City College of New York (CCNY) of 
the City University of New York (CUNY) (this is a revised post for CFD-online, 
Job Record #19489). The research aims to develop new and enhanced existing 
numerical models for problems with coastal ocean flows and fluid-structure 
interaction. It is expected that the candidates are highly motivated and goal-
oriented and have

   1. MS degree in mechanical/civil/ocean engineering, applied math, or other 
related disciplines
   2. Solid knowledge of mathematics and physics

Experience in computer programming and flow modeling and algorithms is 
preferred. Background in both math and engineering is especially welcome. People 
with citizenship of the U.S. and its territories may have priority.
