Pushing for Near-Zero Emissions With Aftertreatment Modeling in CONVERGE
|
In this webinar hosted by Convergent Science, we highlight
how CONVERGE helps model and optimize engine-out emissions
reduction in aftertreatment systems, including catalysts and
particulate filters. We will describe key features like
surface chemistry modeling, urea deposit prediction, and
simulation acceleration tools, which enable more accurate
and efficient analysis of SCR and related technologies.

Description: |
CONVERGE offers a full suite of tools to model engine-out
emissions reduction in aftertreatment systems. CONVERGE
allows users to conduct uniformity studies, model surface
chemistry reactions in catalysts such as SCR, DOC, and LNT,
and predict the pressure drop and soot filtration performance
of diesel and gasoline particulate filters. Additionally,
CONVERGE offers cutting-edge tools for modeling urea deposits
in urea/SCR systems. The urea detailed decomposition model,
coupled with the deposit solidification model and surface
deformation feature, enables more accurate predictions of
urea deposit buildup. Simulation acceleration schemes, namely
the fixed flow and combined parcel features, allow a faster
turnaround time for film and urea deposit simulations. In
this webinar, we demonstrate how you can apply these models
to evaluate and optimize the performance of aftertreatment
systems.
