| Description: |
Turbulence is the most common state of fluid flow. But
what are the most effective ways to teach the concepts and
tools needed in using and developing turbulence models and
turbulence simulation methods? And are there techniques
that will improve student retention?
MIT professor Emilio Baglietto will demonstrate how
engineering software can be integrated into course
curriculum to improve the understanding of turbulent flows.
Real-world course examples will include turbulent
phenomena, model performance and applied turbulence. A
sample exam module will highlight how teachers can prepare
students for the testing of turbulent flow concepts and
theories.
